Overview
We are seeking a qualified and experienced School Nurse to join our dynamic learning community. The School nurse will deliver both universal and targeted services and work across education and health, providing a link between school, home and the community and play an essential role in keeping children healthy, safe, and ready to learn.
This position will be based on the Secondary Campus but requires flexibility to the Primary section as well. The estimated start is March 2025.

Responsibilities
- Implements and promotes nursing care according to established priority of needs and according to standards of nursing practice.
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of the campus and the nursing services.
- Maintain accurate, up to date health management records of students and put in practice and ensure all medical information concerning students is maintained in the strictest confidence.
- Conduct health management programmes, including arrange health exams, screening, vaccinations, providing hospital or doctor referrals, illness follow up and consultation services as appropriate.
- Develops procedures and provides for crisis intervention for acute illness, injury and
- emotional disturbances and the prevention and control of infectious diseases, including disease notification, vaccination, and registration tracking.
- Respond to emergency situations quickly and appropriately and provide emergency rescue, care, contact and monitoring of accident injuries.
- Liaise with stakeholders to ensure that the provision of health care is collaborative and coordinated.
- Coordinating health services with private and public health providers, parents, agencies to promote a healthy environment for students.
- Liaising with health care institutions, parents and locals to promote health promotion.
- Keeping up to date with the school’s emergency drill procedures and responding appropriately in an emergency or emergency drill.
- Assessing the school environment to prevent injury and ensure safety.
- Providing health-related education to students in both individual and group settings.
- Work with the school’s Emergency Response Team to ensure our procedures are effective in emergency situations.
Qualifications and Skills
- Current registration as a Registered Professional Nurse.
- Minimum 2 years of nurse working experience.
- Previous clinical nurse management experience
- Evidence of multi-cultural experience and cultural competency
- Current First Aid qualification and/or Sports medicine qualification
- Previous school nurse experience working in primary or secondary/high school is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills and experience working in an environment with a wide variety of people in a personable, professional and confidential manner.
- Demonstrated administration experience with possession of intermediate-level computer and document management skills.
- Ability to effectively perform skilled nursing care
- Ability to quickly response to the emergency
- Fluency in both oral and written English and Chinese is required
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite and Google Work Suite=
- A flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing high-quality work
