FS_English Early Years Teacher

Taipei, TPE

Primary Purpose

The Early Years teachers at TES are responsible for providing high-quality teaching and learning experiences that foster academic, linguistic, and personal growth in all students.

The French Section offers a bilingual program delivering the French national curriculum in English and French by teams of teachers (native French speakers and native English speakers). The languages are used to teach the curriculum as opposed to explicit language teaching. The role includes planning and instruction for all learning objectives within any subject. Teachers collaborate and coordinate as a team to ensure the best learning experience for students to learn and flourish.

The Early Years English teacher will teach in English across the Maternelle levels (PS, MS & GS) within bilingual classes. The role focuses on developing children’s socialisation, fine and gross motor skills, spoken language, listening skills, and early literacy foundations through play-based, interactive learning. The teacher will collaborate with French and Chinese colleagues to support children’s holistic development — social, emotional, motor, and cognitive — and prepare them for the 50/50 bilingual model in CP (Year 2 equivalent). This role includes co-teaching, station work with the teaching team, and solo-teaching. You will be located across three classrooms during the course of the week. The timetable includes dedicated release time for planning, preparation, and curriculum coordination, allowing for high-quality collaboration and effective curriculum delivery.
