Overview

The British Secondary and High School Section (BSHS) of Taipei European School is looking to appoint a motivated and student-centred Learning Support Assistant.

The role is a temporary full-time position and will involve working with secondary school (middle and high school) students on either a 1:1, small group and/or whole class basis and working alongside the Special Needs teachers to support teaching and learning. The contract can be renewed if student support is required for the rest of the academic year.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

TES recruits well-qualified, experienced career professionals.

The candidates need to have:

  • Fluent in English.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Special Education from a recognized University or relevant field, or a qualification/certification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or relevant field.
  • A minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a school or similar setting.

Relevant Experience

  • Experience of working in a mainstream international school with a Western pedagogical background would be a significant advantage.
  • Understanding of the Safeguarding principles and willingness to take additional certifications. Familiarity with multicultural settings is a plus.
