The German Section at Taipei European School is looking for a caring, enthusiastic and reliable Part-time Learning Assistant to join our Kindergarten team. In this rewarding role, you’ll support children aged 3–6 years as they learn, play and grow in our vibrant bilingual and multicultural environment, working closely with our experienced Kindergarten teachers. We are looking for a confident German speaker (minimum B2 level) who is passionate about working with young children and enjoys being part of a collaborative and international school community.
- Position: Part-time Learning Assistant
- Section: German Section- Kindergarten
- Hours: 20 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–12:00 pm
- Start Date: As soon as possible
Major Specific Duties
- Support Kindergarten teachers with daily learning and classroom routines
- Provide additional support to individuals and small groups of children
- Encourage children's social, emotional and personal development
- Provide German language support naturally throughout the school day
- Help create a welcoming, stimulating and well-organised learning environment
- Support children during indoor and outdoor activities, transitions and playtime
- Help with school projects, outings, celebrations and special events
- Prepare learning materials and the classroom each morning
- Help maintain a safe, hygienic and positive environment in line with school and safeguarding procedures
- Communicate and work closely with teachers, colleagues and the Head of Kindergarten
- Attend relevant staff meetings and professional development opportunities

Experience & Qualifications
- A relevant qualification in Early Years Education, childcare, social education, learning support or a related field.
- At least two years of relevant professional experience working with young children.
- Experience working in an international, bilingual or multilingual educational environment.
- Previous experience in an international school or setting with a Western educational approach would be highly desirable.
- An understanding of child protection and safeguarding principles, together with a willingness to undertake relevant training and certification.
